旅游同伴对个体旅游体验影响机制研究

Understanding the Impact of Travel Companions on Tourist Experiences

摘要: 在结伴同游成为普遍出游方式的当下,旅游同伴是旅游者在旅途中最频繁的互动对象之一,并成为影响旅游体验的重要因素。文章运用社会影响理论,采用定量和定性相结合的混合研究方法,构建并检验了旅游同伴对个体旅游体验的影响机制。研究发现:同伴关系亲密度与感知同伴信息、感知同伴吸引、感知同伴控制是旅游同伴对个体旅游体验的影响来源,后三者对应形成了内化、认同和顺从3种影响机制。感知同伴信息通过感知同伴吸引力间接影响个体旅游体验;感知同伴吸引对应的认同机制是旅游同伴影响的核心作用路径,对个体旅游体验有显著的正向影响;感知同伴控制引发的顺从机制对个体的情感体验有显著影响。文章从社会影响的理论视角揭示了结伴对象对个体旅游体验的影响因素和作用路径,为结伴旅游市场开发与产品设计运营提供了理论支持与经验参考。

Abstract: Travel companions are one of the most frequently interacted people with tourists during the journey,as many people said,“I don't care where I go,but I do care whom I go with”.However,relatively little attention has been paid to the role of travel companions in shaping an individual's travel experience.Based on Kelman's social influence theory,this study explored the companion effect on tourists' experience and built a conceptual model based on the general social influence processes of internalization,identification,and compliance.The findings generated from our mixed method combining quantitative analysis and qualitative thematic analysis show that:(1) the identification process caused by the perceived companion's attraction is the core path of travel companion influence,which has a significant impact on both individual cognitive and emotional traveling experience;(2) the compliance process triggered by perceived companion's control only has a significant impact on individual's emotional experience;(3) perceived companion's information,which corresponds to internalization process,has no significant direct effect on individual cognitive experience,but can indirectly influence tourist experience through the perceived travel companion attraction.The authors believe that these findings can contribute to the literature by providing a new theoretical understanding of tourist experience from the lens of “social life at-a-distance”.Theoretical and practical implications are proposed accordingly.
