酒店企业数字创新过程研究——基于南沙大酒店的叙事分析

A Study on the Digital Innovation Process of Hotel Enterprises —A Narrative Analysis Based on Nansha Grand Hotel

摘要: 在信息技术与产业融合发展的数字经济时代,数字创新成为组织转型升级、获取竞争优势的关键“新式武器”。然而,企业如何推进数字创新,又如何通过数字创新实现提质增效,获取竞争优势仍是战略迷思。文章通过对南沙大酒店数字创新故事的叙事探究,分析数字创新如何出现、形成和发展,并依此实现数字化转型升级的过程。研究结果表明:数字创新并不必然是由组织主动识别数字创新机会而战略性启动,也可能是由组织解决实际管理问题触发,并在持续的“问题-解决”进程中由下而上推进的;企业数字创新过程由数字创新启动、数字创新发展和数字创新应用3个动态非线性阶段组成;数字创新过程及其结果呈现复杂而动态的相互作用,这种不断迭代的创新过程导致数字产品、组织和商业模式创新的出现。研究结论既丰富了数字创新管理理论,也为传统服务企业数字创新实践提供了决策参考。

Abstract: In the era of digital economy of integrated digital technology and industrial development,digital innovation has become a crucial “new weapon” for organizations to transform and upgrade in order to gain competitive advantages.However,how to implement digital innovation as well as to escalate quality and achieve efficient improvement to the purpose of acquiring competitive advantages via digital innovation is still a strategic myth.This paper analyzed the ways that digital innovation are emerged,shaped and evolved in Nansha Grand Hotel in light with a narrative study of its digital innovation story,and how these processes make digital transformation and upgrading come to reality.The results show that (1) digital innovation is not necessary from organization’s initiative on strategic initiation triggered by identifying digital innovation opportunities,but may also be boosted by the organization’s solution to practical as well as managerial problems,and it gets evolved in a continuous “problem-solving” process;(2) the digital innovation process of an enterprise consists of three dynamic and non-linear phases:digital innovation initiation,digital innovation development,and digital innovation application;(3) the digital innovation process,as well as its outcomes,present a complex and dynamic mutual-interaction,and such a continuous iterative innovation process leads to the emergence of digital product,organizational,and innovative business models.The contributions not only enrich the digital innovation management theory,but also provide decision-making reference for the digital innovation practice of traditional service enterprises.
