Abstract: The construction of 15-minute living circle is an important opproach to promote the transformation of the development mode of urban parks and green spaces and to achieve the balanced recreational services for residents. This paper takes Wuzhong district in Suzhou as an example to analyze the spatial pattern of the balanced relationship between the supply and demand of park green space and recreation services under the 15-minute living circle configuration level, adopting the two-step search method combined with the Gaussian decay coefficient, with the aim of providing reference for the future construction of green space and its layout optimization in the city. The study shows that: (1) under the configuration level of 15-minute living circle, the spatial distribution of the supply scale of urban parks and green space recreation services in the central urban area of Wuzhong district presents the trend of “the services in the northern district are continuous and the services in the southern district are extended into blocks”, which has already covered 88.09% of the area of the residential area, but there is still underserved areas for the services; the demand level of parks and green space recreation services presents a spatial pattern of balance between supply and demand, with a view to drawing lessons for the future construction of green space and optimization of its layout in the city. The level of demand for recreational services shows a “pyramid” distribution characteristic, and the spatial pattern has obvious “high-high” hot spots and “low-low” cold spots. (2) The balance of supply and demand for park green space open space services in central Wuzhong district can be divided into six levels: oversupply, sufficient supply, balanced supply and demand, insufficient supply, lack of supply, and no supply, among which, more than 50% of the residential districts are in the level of oversupply and less in the level of balanced supply and demand, and the relationship between balanced supply and demand presents The relationship between supply and demand equilibrium shows a spatial differentiation pattern of “concentrated in high-value areas and dispersed in low-value areas” and a “circle-like” spatial differentiation pattern of medium-value and high-value areas. (3) There is a key type of space with an imbalance between supply and demand of urban parks and green spaces in the central urban area of Wuzhong district, which can be subdivided into spaces that are concentrated in the area adjacent to the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal, and that possess perfect public service facilities and accessible public facilities. Perfect public service facilities and good accessibility of the built environment of the city, in crowded high-density settlements, adjacent to larger business districts and industrial land, adjacent to the imperfect development of vacated land and other special categories of six types of space, different types of spatial characteristics of the difference is obvious.

Key words: 15-minutes living circle, urban park green space, recreation services, supply and demand relationship, central urban area of Wuzhong district
