Abstract: Concession is an important tool for realizing ecological protection and sustainable development of national parks, which has been practiced in foreign countries for a long time, and its experiences is of great significance for China, which is in the key period of exploration. However, the current research on international experience still lacks sufficient coverage of case studies and specific analysis at the project level. The article takes eight countries with earlier and more complete national park concessions as research objects, selects representative national park concessions that are in operation to establish a research case base, and summarizes the construction experience of each country in six aspects, namely, laws and regulations, form of authorization, duration of authorization, type of service, management mechanism and concession fees, by using comparative, inductive and deductive methods. On this basis, it puts forward six paths for the construction of national park concession system in China: improve the legal and regulatory system, and perfect the guarantee mechanism; hierarchical, specialize and professional management, strengthen supervision, and fully pilot the project; define the scope of concessions, and strictly access the mechanism; establish a sound regulatory mechanism, and set up a system of rewards and punishments; scientifically formulate the standards of income and expenditure, and strengthen the management of funds; and set up a feed-back mechanism, and push forward the community's co-construction, co-management and sharing. In the dual context of actively building a protected area system with national parks as the main body and exploring the concession system construction of national parks in China, it provides lessons and references for relevant research and practice.
